NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR MONDAY, 22TH DECEMBER, 2025
MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 436.20Million shares were traded in 33,008 deals, with a market value of N12.835billion. This represents a 71% decrease in volume, a 41% decrease in value, and a 29% increase in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN97.19trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 152,459.07 basis points, reflecting an increase of 401.69basis points (0.26%) but a YTD increase of 48.12% from the previous day’s 152,057.38basis points.
In total, 129 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 34 gainers and 20 losers. Aluminium Extrusion Industries led the gainers with 9.72% share price appreciation closing at NGN 13.55 per share, followed by International Energy Insurance (+9.69%), MeCure Industries (+9.64%) and Royal Exchange (+9.6%). On the losing side, Custodian & Allied came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 35.10 per share, followed by Associated Bus Company (-10%), Prestige Assurance Company (-7.41%) and Guinea Insurance (-7.38%). Tantalizers recorded the highest volume of 50.2 million traded shares, followed by First HoldCo (32.6m), Access Holdings (27.3m) and Custodian & Allied (22.1m).
