At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), 771.06Million shares were traded in 8,844deals, amounting to a market value of N9.128Billion. Compared with the previous trading day (Tuesday November 26), today’s data shows a 40% increase in volume, a 14% increase in value and a 5% decrease in the number of deals. The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN58.97trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 97,295.03Basis points, decrease 344.85Basis Points, representing a 0.36% increase, and a YTD increase of 30.12% as against the previous trading day’s close of 97,639.88Basis points.

 

Cumulatively, 127 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 23 gainers and 26 losers. Sunu Assurances Nigeria led the gainers with 9.97% share price appreciation closing at NGN 4.19 per share, followed by Guinea Insurance (+8.16%), Conoil (+6.56%) and Daar Communications (+6.56%). On the losing side, John Holt came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 9.90 per share, followed by Aradel Holdings (-9.98%), Eterna (-9.88%) and Haldane McCall (-8.43%). Haldane McCall recorded the highest volume of 374 million traded shares, followed by Japaul Gold and Ventures (116m), Tantalizers (30.7m) and United Bank for Africa (29.4m).
