NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR WEDNESDAY, 10TH DECEMBER, 2025
MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 747.09Million shares were traded in 19,161 deals, with a market value of N12.426billion. This represents a 62% decrease in volume, a 59% decrease in value, and a 17% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN93.62trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 146,862.00basis points, reflecting a decrease of 76.86basis points (0.05%) but a YTD decrease of 42.69% from the previous day’s 146,938.86basis points.
In total, 127 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 28 gainers and 23 losers. Japaul Gold and Ventures led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 2.53 per share, followed by Prestige Assurance Company (+9.4%), MeCure Industries (+7.72%) and The Initiates (+7.3%). On the losing side, Chams came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 3.06 per share, followed by Haldane McCall (-8.88%), UAC of Nigeria (-8.18%) and Sunu Assurances Nigeria (-6.98%). Cutix recorded the highest volume of 123 million traded shares, followed by FCMB Group (80.7m), Consolidated Hallmark Holdings (71.2m) and Fidelity Bank (63.8m).
