The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN63.19trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 103,622.09Basis points, decrease 1,745.16Basis Points, representing a 1.66% decrease, and a YTD increase of 2.37% as against the previous trading day’s close of 105,367.25Basis points.
Cumulatively, 125 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 23 gainers and 41 losers. Northern Nigeria Flour Mills led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 45.10 per share, followed by Livestock Feeds (+9.91%), Academy Press (+9.9%) and University Press (+9.82%). On the losing side, Honeywell Flour Mill came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 9.54 per share, followed by Dangote Cement (-9.98%), Julius Berger Nigeria (-9.98%) and Sovereign Trust Insurance (-9.68%). Guaranty Trust Holding recorded the highest volume of 54.4 million traded shares, followed by Nigerian Breweries (32.2m), Universal Insurance Company (30.8m) and Aiico Insurance (26.6m).
