NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR TUESDAY, 3RD FEBRUARY, 2026
MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 736.44Million shares were traded in 46,076deals, with a market value of N24.665billion. This represents a 3% decrease in volume, a 34% increase in value, and a 17% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN106.495trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 165,901.57 basis points, reflecting an increase of 516.94basis points (0.31%) but a YTD increase of 6.75% from the previous day’s 165,384.63basis points.
In total, 132 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 35 gainers and 34 losers. Industrial & Medical Gases led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 34.65 per share, followed by Union Dicon Salt (+10%), Zichis Agro Allied Industries (+10%) and Austin Laz & Company (+10%). On the losing side, Cutix came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 3.15 per share, followed by Omatek Ventures (-10%), Union Homes Real Estate Inv. (-9.95%) and Sunu Assurances Nigeria (-9.94%). Guaranty Trust Holding recorded the highest volume of 65.9 million traded shares, followed by Chams (55.7m), Custodian & Allied (49.8m) and Universal Insurance Company (36m).
