NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR TUESDAY, 24TH FEBRUARY, 2026
MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 1.137Billion shares were traded in 72,218deals, with a market value of N53.353billion. This represents a 5% decrease in volume, a 93% increase in value, and a 22% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN124.827trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 194,484.61 basis points, reflecting a decrease of 1,758.04basis points (0.90%) but a YTD increase of 17.16% from the previous day’s 196,242.65basis points.
In total, 133 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 27 gainers and 40 losers. Jaiz Bank led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 12.76 per share, followed by Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank (+9.83%), FCMB Group (+9.72%) and Fortis Global Insurance (+9.09%). On the losing side, Tantalizers came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 4.86 per share, followed by Daar Communications (-10%), BUA Foods (-9.99%) and Ellah Lakes (-9.96%). Japaul Gold and Ventures recorded the highest volume of 102 million traded shares, followed by Access Holdings (97.9m), Fortis Global Insurance (75.2m) and Zenith Bank (67.6m).
