NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR TUESDAY, 23TH DECEMBER, 2025
MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 677.43Million shares were traded in 27,589 deals, with a market value of N20.784.13billion. This represents a 55% increase in volume, a 62% increase in value, and a 16% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN97.77trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 153,354.13 basis points, reflecting an increase of 895.06basis points (0.59%) but a YTD increase of 48.99% from the previous day’s 152,459.07basis points.
In total, 128 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 29 gainers and 27 losers. Aluminium Extrusion Industries led the gainers with 9.96% share price appreciation closing at NGN 14.90 per share, followed by Austin Laz & Company (+9.81%), Custodian & Allied (+9.69%) and First HoldCo (+9.35%). On the losing side, Royal Exchange came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 7.22% at NGN 1.80 per share, followed by Champion Breweries (-6.57%), National Salt Company (-5.36%) and Sovereign Trust Insurance (-5.28%). VFD Group recorded the highest volume of 192 million traded shares, followed by Guaranty Trust Holding (63.4m), Access Holdings (49.8m) and First HoldCo (45.8m).
