NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR TUESDAY, 13TH JANUARY, 2026

MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 1.131Billion shares were traded in 49,216deals, with a market value of N33.550billion. This represents a 2% decrease in volume, a 74% increase in value, and a 17% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN106.182trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 165,837.32 basis points, reflecting an increase of 2,592.63basis points (1.59%) but a YTD increase of 48.99% from the previous day’s 163,244.69basis points.
In total,  128 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 55 gainers and 13 losers. MTN Nigeria led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 605.00 per share, followed by PZ Cussons Nigeria (+10%), E-Tranzact International (+10%) and Caverton Offshore Support Group (+10%). On the losing side, Universal Insurance Company came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 6.25% at NGN 1.20 per share, followed by Prestige Assurance Company (-5.81%), Regency Alliance Insurance (-5.17%) and Academy Press (-5.06%). Sovereign Trust Insurance recorded the highest volume of 344 million traded shares, followed by Access Holdings (86.2m), E-Tranzact International (61.1m) and Linkage Assurance (49.9m).
