At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), 3.602Billion shares were traded in 10,679deals, amounting to a market value of N25.570Billion. Compared with the previous trading day (Monday November 04), today’s data shows a 194% increase in volume, a 80% increase in value and a 3% increase in the number of deals. The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN58.85trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 97,123.61Basis points, increase 215.88Basis Points, representing a 0.22% increase, and a YTD increase of 29.89% as against the previous trading day’s close of 96,907.73Basis points.
Cumulatively, 124 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 26 gainers and 21 losers. Conoil led the gainers with 9.93% share price appreciation closing at NGN 208.10 per share, followed by John Holt (+9.92%), United Bank for Africa (+9.87%) and Eunisell Interlinked (+9.87%). On the losing side, Oando came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 9.98% at NGN 72.65 per share, followed by Daar Communications (-9.68%), Regency Alliance Insurance (-6.52%) and Veritas Kapital Assurance (-6.25%). United Bank for Africa recorded the highest volume of 202 million traded shares, followed by Zenith Bank (46.4m), Veritas Kapital Assurance (34.7m) and Julius Berger Nigeria (26.3m).
