In total, 127 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 41 gainers and 24 losers. Mutual Benefits Assurance led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 1.10 per share, followed by University Press (+9.98%), Academy Press (+9.88%) and SCOA Nigeria (+9.62%). On the losing side, NPF Microfinance Bank came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 11.52% at NGN 2.15 per share, followed by Seplat Petroleum Development Co. (-10%), Legend Internet (-10%) and Abbey Mortgage Bank (-9.9%). United Bank for Africa recorded the highest volume of 82.6 million traded shares, followed by Fidelity Bank (70.6m), Nigerian Breweries (37.2m) and Tantalizers (36.3m).
