The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN59.81trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 98,708.90Basis points, decrease 740.01Basis Points, representing a 0.74% decrease, and a YTD increase of 32.32% as against the previous trading day’s close of 99,448.91Basis points.
Cumulatively, 122 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 18 gainers and 28 losers. Transcorp Nigeria led the gainers with 339.82% share price appreciation closing at NGN 48.60 per share, followed by Eunisell Interlinked (+10%), Livestock Feeds (+9.97%) and RT Briscoe (+9.84%). On the losing side, BUA Cement came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 99.00 per share, followed by Lasaco Assurance (-9.79%), Daar Communications (-9.38%) and Regency Alliance Insurance (-8.93%). Chams recorded the highest volume of 84.6 million traded shares, followed by United Bank for Africa (27m), Access Holdings (22.2m) and McNichols (16.3m).
