Compared with the previous trading day (Last week Friday March 21), today’s data shows a 11% increase in volume, a 26% decrease in value and a 32% increase in the number of deals. The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN66.19trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 105,551.39Basis points, increase 588.43Basis Points, representing a 0.56% increase, and a YTD increase of 2.55% as against the previous trading day’s close of 104,962.96Basis points.
Cumulatively, 127 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 25 gainers and 22 losers. Royal Exchange led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 0.88 per share, followed by Livestock Feeds (+9.87%), Abbey Mortgage Bank (+9.72%) and Universal Insurance Company (+9.62%). On the losing side, Africa Prudential came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 53.64% at NGN 15.30 per share, followed by N.E.M. Insurance Company (-9.63%), United Capital (-9.29%) and Computer Warehouse Group (-6.67%). Zenith Bank recorded the highest volume of 55.1 million traded shares, followed by FCMB Group (49.6m), United Bank for Africa (47.4m) and Access Holdings (37.2m).
