The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN62.86trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 102,370.36Basis points, increase 16.68Basis Points, representing a 0.02% increase, and a YTD increase of 0.72% as against the previous trading day’s close of 102,353.68Basis points.
Cumulatively, 127 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 29 gainers and 28 losers. MTN Nigeria led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 256.30 per share, followed by SCOA Nigeria (+9.93%), Omatek Ventures (+9.88%) and Universal Insurance Company (+8.7%). On the losing side, Secure Electronic Technology came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 9.88% at NGN 0.73 per share, followed by Abbey Mortgage Bank (-9.09%), Sunu Assurances Nigeria (-8.21%) and Deap Capital Management & Trust (-7.08%). Lasaco Assurance recorded the highest volume of 108 million traded shares, followed by Access Holdings (44m), United Bank for Africa (27.9m) and Zenith Bank (26.7m).
