The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN66.34trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 105,799.17Basis points, decrease 155.96Basis Points, representing a 0.15% decrease, and a YTD increase of 2.79% as against the previous trading day’s close of 105,955.13Basis points.
Cumulatively 126 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 18 gainers and 35 losers. Academy Press led the gainers with 9.92% share price appreciation closing at NGN 2.88 per share, followed by Neimeth International Pharma (+8.43%), Tantalizers (+6.83%) and Dangote Sugar Refinery (+4.71%). On the losing side, E-Tranzact International came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 5.85 per share, followed by Sunu Assurances Nigeria (-9.92%), Prestige Assurance Company (-8.26%) and Sovereign Trust Insurance (-7.77%). Jaiz Bank recorded the highest volume of 197 million traded shares, followed by Zenith Bank (26m), Sovereign Trust Insurance (19.3m) and Prestige Assurance Company (18.5m).
