NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR MONDAY, 29TH DECEMBER, 2025

MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 1.468Billion shares were traded in 47,892 deals, with a market value of N35.544billion. This represents a 16% decrease in volume, a 18% increase in value, and a 147% increase in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN98.43trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 154,389.53 basis points, reflecting an increase of 849.70basis points (0.55%) but a YTD increase of 48.99% from the previous day’s 153,539.83basis points.
In total, 128 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 41 gainers and 37 losers. Ecobank Transnational led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 41.80 per share, followed by Austin Laz & Company (+10%), Eunisell Interlinked (+9.95%) and Honeywell Flour Mill (+9.86%). On the losing side, International Energy Insurance came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 2.34 per share, followed by Meyer (-9.92%), E-Tranzact International (-9.92%) and Livestock Feeds (-9.6%). Access Holdings recorded the highest volume of 594 million traded shares, followed by Champion Breweries (122m), FCMB Group (117m) and Japaul Gold and Ventures (66.2m).
