MARKET OVERVIEW

The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN 68.95trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 109,697.83basis points, reflecting a decrease of 12.54basis points (0.01%) but a YTD increase of 6.58% from the previous day’s 109,710.37basis points.
In total, 127 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 46 gainers and 23 losers. Ikeja Hotel led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 15.40 per share, followed by Tantalizers (+10%), Beta Glass Company (+9.98%) and Northern Nigeria Flour Mills (+9.97%). On the losing side, The Initiates came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 6.12 per share, followed by Associated Bus Company (-9.83%), University Press (-9.77%) and FTN Cocoa Processors (-9.65%). Access Holdings recorded the highest volume of 45.1 million traded shares, followed by Fidelity Bank (39.4m), Guaranty Trust Holding (32.4m) and Cutix (24.1m).
