NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR MONDAY 15TH DECEMBER, 2025
MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 553.16Million shares were traded in 28,907 deals, with a market value of N13.270billion. This represents a 3% decrease in volume, a 55% decrease in value, and a 45% increase in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN95.28trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 149,437.88 basis points, reflecting an increase of 4.63basis points (0.003%) but a YTD increase of 45.19% from the previous day’s 149,433.25basis points.
In total, 128 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 28 gainers and 23 losers. Sovereign Trust Insurance led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 3.74 per share, followed by Guinness Nigeria (+9.96%), MeCure Industries (+9.88%) and First HoldCo (+9.86%). On the losing side, Prestige Assurance Company came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 1.53 per share, followed by FTN Cocoa Processors (-8.16%), Guinea Insurance (-7.69%) and Royal Exchange (-7.25%). FCMB Group recorded the highest volume of 92 million traded shares, followed by Access Holdings (67.9m), Consolidated Hallmark Holdings (50.8m) and Fidelity Bank (35.8m).
