At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), 297.83Million shares were traded in 9,902deals, amounting to a market value of N7.518Billion. Compared with the previous trading day (Last week Friday November 08), today’s data shows a 38% decrease in volume, a 20% decrease in value and a 10% increase in the number of deals. The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN59.00trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 97,373.94Basis points, increase 137.75Basis Points, representing a 0.14% increase, and a YTD increase of 30.23% as against the previous trading day’s close of 97,236.19Basis points.
Cumulatively, 127 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 24 gainers and 28 losers. Eunisell Interlinked led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 9.02 per share, followed by Aradel Holdings (+9.99%), John Holt (+9.98%) and Deap Capital Management & Trust (+9.35%). On the losing side, United Capital came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 9.78% at NGN 16.15 per share, followed by Sovereign Trust Insurance (-7.25%), Prestige Assurance Company (-6.67%) and Consolidated Hallmark Holdings (-5.88%). Sterling Bank recorded the highest volume of 36.1 million traded shares, followed by United Bank for Africa (33.5m), Access Holdings (24.6m) and Flour Mills Nigeria (15m).
