The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN64.71trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 104,496.12Basis points, decrease 248.31Basis Points, representing a 0.24% decrease, and a YTD increase of 1.77% as against the previous trading day’s close of 104,744.43Basis points.
Cumulatively, 125 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 37 gainers and 28 losers. Beta Glass Company led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 71.50 per share, followed by Northern Nigeria Flour Mills (+9.98%), Vitafoam Nigeria (+9.98%) and Chellarams (+9.93%). On the losing side, Oando came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 68.40 per share, followed by Stanbic IBTC Holdings (-9.94%), Ikeja Hotel (-9.84%) and UPDC (-9.66%). Secure Electronic Technology recorded the highest volume of 600 million traded shares, followed by FBN Holdings (85.5m), Veritas Kapital Assurance (67.3m) and Guaranty Trust Holding (32.7m).
