MARKET OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/h5>
At the close of today\u2019s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 1.137Billion shares were traded in 72,218deals, with a market value of N53.353billion. This represents a 5% decrease in volume, a 93% increase in value, and a 22% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.<\/h5>
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN124.827trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 194,484.61 basis points, reflecting a decrease of 1,758.04basis points (0.90%) but a YTD increase of 17.16% from the previous day\u2019s 196,242.65basis points.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In total, \u00a0133 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 27 gainers and 40 losers.\u00a0Jaiz Bank<\/a>\u00a0led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 12.76 per share, followed by\u00a0Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank<\/a>\u00a0(+9.83%),\u00a0FCMB Group<\/a>\u00a0(+9.72%) and\u00a0Fortis Global Insurance<\/a>\u00a0(+9.09%). On the losing side,\u00a0Tantalizers<\/a>\u00a0came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 4.86 per share, followed by\u00a0Daar Communications<\/a>\u00a0(-10%),\u00a0BUA Foods<\/a>\u00a0(-9.99%) and\u00a0Ellah Lakes<\/a>\u00a0(-9.96%).\u00a0Japaul Gold and Ventures<\/a>\u00a0recorded the highest volume of 102 million traded shares, followed by\u00a0Access Holdings<\/a>\u00a0(97.9m), Fortis Global Insurance (75.2m) and\u00a0Zenith Bank<\/a>\u00a0(67.6m).<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
