NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR TUESDAY, 16TH DECEMBER, 2025
MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 1.026Billion shares were traded in 23,701 deals, with a market value of N21.826billion. This represents a 86% increase in volume, a 64% increase in value, and a 18% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN95.28trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 149,459.11 basis points, reflecting an increase of 21.23basis points (0.001%) but a YTD increase of 45.21% from the previous day’s 149,437.88basis points.
In total, 129 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 31 gainers and 26 losers. Aluminium Extrusion Industries led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 9.35 per share, followed by Guinness Nigeria (+9.98%), MeCure Industries (+9.95%) and Multiverse Mining & Exploration (+9.95%). On the losing side, Haldane McCall came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 9.93% at NGN 3.72 per share, followed by LivingTrust Mortgage Bank (-9.09%), Veritas Kapital Assurance (-9.09%) and Linkage Assurance (-5.71%). Access Holdings recorded the highest volume of 386 million traded shares, followed by Sterling Bank (85.5m), FCMB Group (74.7m) and First HoldCo (51.9m).
