NGX TRADING SUMMARY FOR THURSDAY, 11TH DECEMBER, 2025
MARKET OVERVIEW
At the close of today’s trading session on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd (NGX), a total of 529.70Million shares were traded in 18,159 deals, with a market value of N12.314billion. This represents a 29% decrease in volume, a 1% decrease in value, and a 5% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN94.32trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 147,950.59basis points, reflecting an increase of 1,088.59basis points (0.74%) but a YTD increase of 43.74% from the previous day’s 146,862.00basis points.
In total, 128 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 31 gainers and 24 losers. Berger Paints led the gainers with 9.88% share price appreciation closing at NGN 40.05 per share, followed by Japaul Gold and Ventures (+9.88%), Morison Industries (+9.77%) and PZ Cussons Nigeria (+9.36%). On the losing side, John Holt came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 9.26% at NGN 4.90 per share, followed by Champion Breweries (-7.86%), Eterna (-5.48%) and VFD Group (-5.07%). Access Holdings recorded the highest volume of 156 million traded shares, followed by FCMB Group (74.5m), Fidelity Bank (42.9m) and Japaul Gold and Ventures (41.2m).
