The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN83.86trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 132,557.43basis points, reflecting an increase of 105.70basis points (0.08%) but a YTD increase of 28.79% from the previous day’s 132,451.73basis points.
In total, 128 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 29 gainers and 37 losers. Academy Press led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 7.70 per share, followed by The Initiates (+9.98%), Ikeja Hotel (+9.95%) and Nigerian Enamelware (+9.84%). On the losing side, Austin Laz & Company came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 2.34 per share, followed by Tripple Gee & Co. (-9.95%), Omatek Ventures (-9.72%) and Daar Communications (-9.64%). Access Holdings recorded the highest volume of 98.6 million traded shares, followed by Ellah Lakes (61.1m), Japaul Gold and Ventures (49.2m) and Royal Exchange (43.8m).
