This represents a 7% decrease in volume, a 23% decrease in value, and a 5% decrease in the number of deals compared to the previous trading day.
The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN 68.65trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 109,231.96basis points, reflecting an increase of 382.13basis points (0.35%) but a YTD increase of 6.13% from the previous day’s 108,849.83basis points.
In total, 128 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 38 gainers and 21 losers. Beta Glass Company led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 160.65 per share, followed by Chellarams (+10%), International Energy Insurance (+9.93%) and May & Baker Nigeria (+9.78%). On the losing side, Abbey Mortgage Bank came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 7.47 per share, followed by Livestock Feeds (-9.77%), Legend Internet (-8.5%) and Deap Capital Management & Trust (-6.48%). Fidelity Bank recorded the highest volume of 69.8 million traded shares, followed by Access Holdings (65.8m), Tantalizers (55.1m) and Guaranty Trust Holding (46m).
