The current equities market capitalization stands at NGN 67.06trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 106,698.50basis points, reflecting an increase of 655.93basis points (0.62%) but a YTD increase of 3.66% from the previous day’s 106.042.57basis points.
In total, 127 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 35 gainers and 29 losers. Beta Glass Company led the gainers with 9.97% share price appreciation closing at NGN 120.75 per share, followed by The Initiates (+9.9%), Cadbury Nigeria (+9.87%) and Caverton Offshore Support Group (+9.77%). On the losing side, Meyer came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 9.73% at NGN 8.35 per share, followed by Ecobank Transnational (-9.62%), Custodian & Allied (-4.72%) and Mutual Benefits Assurance (-4.49%). First HoldCo recorded the highest volume of 106 million traded shares, followed by Guaranty Trust Holding (87.2m), Access Holdings (42.9m) and Japaul Gold and Ventures (41.3m).
