Compared with the previous trading day (Tuesday March 18), today’s data shows a 290% increase in volume, a 51% increase in value and a 7% increase in the number of deals. The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN65.79trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 104,915.13Basis points, decrease 460.56Basis Points, representing a 0.44% decrease, and a YTD increase of 1.93% as against the previous trading day’s close of 105,375.69Basis points.
Cumulatively, 125 NGX listed equities participated in trading, ending with 13 gainers and 37 losers. Julius Berger Nigeria led the gainers with 8.47% share price appreciation closing at NGN 137.00 per share, followed by Omatek Ventures (+6.15%), UPDC (+2.69%) and Wema Bank (+2.43%). On the losing side, Livestock Feeds came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 8.46 per share, followed by E-Tranzact International (-9.4%), Wapic Insurance (-9.27%) and MRS Oil Nigeria (-8.99%). Sovereign Trust Insurance recorded the highest volume of 1.01 billion traded shares, followed by Fidelity Bank (42.8m), Access Holdings (30.6m) and Jaiz Bank (24m).
