The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN66.87trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 106,780.72Basis points, increase 344.24Basis Points, representing a 0.32% increase, and a YTD increase of 3.74% as against the previous trading day’s close of 106,436.48Basis points.
Cumulatively, 128 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 35 gainers and 15 losers. Transcorp Nigeria led the gainers with 9.98% share price appreciation closing at NGN 51.80 per share, followed by SCOA Nigeria (+9.88%), Africa Prudential (+9.87%) and Tantalizers (+9.72%). On the losing side, MRS Oil Nigeria came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 166.50 per share, followed by Red Star Express (-10%), Sunu Assurances Nigeria (-10%) and Lasaco Assurance (-7.99%). Guaranty Trust Holding recorded the highest volume of 49.9 million traded shares, followed by Access Holdings (43.9m), Zenith Bank (36.5m) and Fidelity Bank (27.1m).
