The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN67.42trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 108,053.95Basis points, decrease 1,118.09Basis Points, representing a 1.02% decrease, and a YTD increase of 6.07% as against the previous trading day’s close of 109,172.04Basis points.
Cumulatively, 125 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 38 gainers and 28 losers. Royal Exchange led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 0.99 per share, followed by UPDC (+9.88%), The Initiates (+9.76%) and Red Star Express (+9.09%). On the losing side, BUA Foods came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 373.50 per share, followed by Daar Communications (-9.09%), Aradel Holdings (-6.9%) and Livestock Feeds (-6.09%). Sterling Bank recorded the highest volume of 88.6 million traded shares, followed by Access Holdings (29.7m), Veritas Kapital Assurance (21.6m) and Aiico Insurance (20.1m).
