The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN68.12trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 109,172.04Basis points, increase 1,349.52Basis Points, representing a 1.25% increase, and a YTD increase of 6.07% as against the previous trading day’s close of 107,822.52Basis points.
Cumulatively, 124 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 35 gainers and 25 losers. Dangote Cement led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 474.10 per share, followed by Sunu Assurances Nigeria (+10%), Regency Alliance Insurance (+10%) and Haldane McCall (+9.98%). On the losing side, Golden Guinea Breweries came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 9.91% at NGN 7.09 per share, followed by Linkage Assurance (-6.76%), Eterna (-6.57%) and Computer Warehouse Group (-6.36%). Universal Insurance Company recorded the highest volume of 23.2 million traded shares, followed by Wema Bank (22.7m), Sterling Bank (21.9m) and Aiico Insurance (19.9m).
