The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN62.26trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 102,095.95Basis points, decrease 1,526.14Basis Points, representing a 1.47% decrease, and a YTD increase of 0.81% as against the previous trading day’s close of 103,622.09Basis points.
Cumulatively, 125 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 28 gainers and 39 losers. National Salt Company led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 38.50 per share, followed by Dangote Sugar Refinery (+10%), Sunu Assurances Nigeria (+10%) and Skyway Aviation Handling Co. (+9.95%). On the losing side, Dangote Cement came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 10% at NGN 387.90 per share, followed by Universal Insurance Company (-10%), John Holt (-9.99%) and Transcorp Power (-9.97%). Universal Insurance Company recorded the highest volume of 70.3 million traded shares, followed by Aiico Insurance (39.7m), Access Holdings (16.8m) and Livestock Feeds (16.8m).
