The Current equities market capitalization of the Nigerian Exchange Ltd is NGN60.26trillion, while the All-Share Index (ASI) closed at 99,448.91Basis points, increase 258.96Basis Points, representing a 0.26% increase, and a YTD increase of 32.32% as against the previous trading day’s close of 99,189.95Basis points.
Cumulatively, 117 NGX equities participated in trading, ending with 40 gainers and 14 losers. CAP led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at NGN 38.50 per share, followed by Livestock Feeds (+10%), Eunisell Interlinked (+9.72%) and May & Baker Nigeria (+9.56%). On the losing side, Daar Communications came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 9.86% at NGN 0.64 per share, followed by McNichols (-5.1%), FTN Cocoa Processors (-4.76%) and Fidelity Bank (-2.72%). Chams recorded the highest volume of 97.7 million traded shares, followed by United Bank for Africa (88.5m), Sterling Bank (32.3m) and Access Holdings (28.2m).
